Transferring money in just got much faster

Helping our savers lend money more quickly means they earn more interest. So we have taken additional steps to help you reduce the time it takes to get funds into your account.

By working with our bank provider, RBS, to create a super-fast transfer on funds, your money will now reach your account within an hour, 7 days a week with a 6pm cut off on weekdays. We’ll send you an email to confirm once we receive your money so you know it has arrived and will start being lent. To ensure there is no delay in getting your money sent across to Zopa please double check you have the correct Z reference or you may experience a delay in funding.

So long as your bank submits your payment to us by Faster Payments, we will pay the funds into your Zopa account within 30 minutes of it arriving. Faster transfers means that payments that arrive before 6pm will be funded throughout the day. Payments received after 6pm will be funded the next morning from around 3am onwards. On the weekends payments will also be funded throughout the day but there is no 6pm cut off.

We are very excited about this new ability to transfer money quickly and hope that you also feel this to be a significant benefit to your lending with Zopa. Money transferred before 12pm could be lent the same day, allowing you to take advantage of Zopa’s great rates to make your money work much faster and harder for you.
