Guinea pigs wanted

As we constantly change and (hopefully!) improve Zopa, we hugely value input from our members and visitors. Right now, we’re gearing up for some major developments and we need your help! We want to create a panel of people who are willing to spare a couple of hours one evening a month for the next few months to work with us as we develop new services, screens and concepts. Some of the evenings will be more classic focus group type sessions, some will be one to one interviews, and some will be usability sessions (less scary than they sound - we’re interested in how people use the site, and what works, and what just confuses the heck out of people!).

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, we’d love to hear from you! You need to be able to get to our London office (near Oxford Circus) for about 7pm and be prepared to stick with us for several sessions. We’ll pay you £50 a time for your trouble, and can probably promise some food and drink (at the very least, the Zopa fridge is well stocked with chocolate and wine!).

Still with me? Great - send an email to IWantToHelp@zopa.com and I’ll get in touch. If we aren’t able to accept you, please don’t be offended - we only need 10-12 people, and we want a good cross section of people who are interested in Zopa.

Look forward to meeting you!

UPDATE: We’ve had lots of interest, but we’re still looking for more people! Drop me a line if you’re up for it - even if you’re not in the UK. (I’m sure we can work out some way of getting your input!)

Hi - I would be interested in assisting with input - not sure if I can make 7.00pm unless I know the specific evening… but would try

I am interested in website user friendliness and have been involved in trialling databases for a major blue chip company.

I am willing to assist but unfortunatley unable to get to London as I reside on the Isle of Wight.
Good Luck with your service.

Hi, I’m interested in online support and training systems, I work for a large online e-learning organisation.

I am happy to assist if you can setup a way of doing this virtually over the Internet.

Good luck with the improvements.

Hi

I would be interested in getting involved - I’ve found your site fascinating and the concept intriguing! I work within an online marketing environment which may or may not be an advantage.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

Jane

Hello,

I’ve been a lender on Zopa for a while now, but don’t live in London. If there’s any way that I can help without having to pootle up to the “big smoke” then I’d be happy to.

Obviously in exchange for loads of cash…

Hi,

I’m very interested in being a ‘guinea pig’ and based in London. The business concept sounds really interesting!

Hello,

If you still need “guinea pigs”, I would be willing to be involved from a newer lender perspective….

Also a suggestion for a potential improvement:
I have some money in the market to be lent at the moment, and it some of it is in the category “Loans currently being processed”. Would it be possible to have a breakdown of where in the processing stage various loans are - or maybe what offers (and rates etc) are being matched & processed? I have had some money “being processed” for several days, and the amount keeps going up, but no loans have finished processing as yet, and I am not sure how long this process can take or which of my offers are being matched.

Thanks,
Anthony

Anthony,

I agree .. I’ve had the same thought myself about showing the status of the loan processing. We’ve been giving priority recently to getting out a release which will pay you interest on your unlent money. (Hopefully extra hard cash will be more useful than seeing the status of your loan). When that’s done we’ll take another look at how we display the info on loans being processed.

We will be releasing a new version of the marketplace shortly which will show much more clearly what the latest rates are: both offers made and loans matched. At the moment you have to go to Amend Loan and click on the mkt tab to get this info. In the next version we will show this graphically and on the marketplace page. Just as soon as we all get back in the office ….
