Justin needs a webmonkey
Before we go down the trad routes to picking up a freelancer to help us out, I thought I’d stick up a notice here.
I need someone to come in to Zopa 2 or 3 days a week to produce clean, well-written, standards-compliant code from (and here’s the tricky bit) very fast and loose briefs. I will need someone who understands design and has an eye - so I’m probably thinking of someone more from a design background who can code well, rather than someone from a technical background who understands design - although that shouldn’t rule you out if you’re a true renaissance type. I will be expecting this person to be able to take instructions like, ‘take that bit from this page, that bit from this page and frankenstein them together’ and make that look like a Zopa page with minimal hand-holding.
The person MUST be able to be on-site for this - so no remote-offices thanks. Time is just way too tight, and the sort of work you’ll be doing turns around too quickly for that sort of thing I’m afraid.
We’re looking for at least 6 weeks, probably more.
If anyone knows anyone good - let me know at justin at zopa.com if you have any leads… No finder-fee I’m afraid, but you’ll get lots of appreciation and that’s reward in itself (or so I keep getting told).
That is all.
