Technical hitches

We've been having some volume related problems over the last few days with both our email system and our database. This has meant that some emails have not been received, and that borrowers are waiting longer than normal for a decision to be made on their loan applications. We're very sorry about all this - one of the dis-advantages of not having a Barclays Bank sized IT budget - but we're all over it like a rash, and normal service will be resumed shortly. If you've written to us over the last few days and we haven't replied, it might be worth resending your email. If you've applied for a loan, we will get back to you as soon as possible, but it is taking a few days longer than normal. Thanks for your understanding and patience - and for helping to give us these sort of problems by growing Zopa!

The black hole of Zopa

Comments seem to have been recently vanishing into a bottomless pit from whence they don't return - apologies. I think it was due to an experiement with blacklisting certain words to avoid spam.. it seems that it was blacklisting rather more than I thought it was... Normality has now returned, please post away and I'm very sorry about any pearls that may have been deleted :-(

Communications error…

Just a quick note to let you know about some minor problems we're having on the site at the moment. Firstly, the market information screen isn't updating properly - it seems to be stuck in some kind of Thursday evening time warp, so don't take too much notice of the information displayed right now. Secondly, some people are reporting that they aren't able to use the Contact Us web page to send an email - the page shows an error when attempting to send a message. This is one of those infuriating errors that is proving hard to trace - in the mean time, you can always send a message to contactus@zopa.com and we'll look after you. Lastly, we're having some problems with site navigation. If you're signed in, and click on 'Back to the Zopa homepage', the Zopa logo or 'Help' there is no way of getting back to the signed in area without signing out, and signing back in again. A temporary work around is to use the 'back' button on your browser, but this isn't satisfactory and we're working on a better solution.
