Zopa kicked off the 2016 awards season in style last week, taking home the Personal Loan Provider of the Year gong at the Consumer Moneyfacts Awards!
A troop of twenty Zopians donned dinner jackets and party frocks to attend the Consumer Moneyfacts Awards at the Jumeriah Carlton Hotel in London, and, with a big thanks to the organisers, we all had a fantastic time.
It’s the third year in a row that we’ve taken home the trophy, beating off competition from the likes of Sainsbury’s Bank and Hitachi Personal Finance.
We were also highly commended in the Peer-to-Peer Provider of the Year category and commended in the overall Best Customer Service.
How Consumer Moneyfacts Awards winners are picked
The award winners are decided on the basis of a two-part process. Firstly, a team of experts uses a strict set of criteria to decide which companies offer the best products. This accounts for 50% of the overall score and decides who should be on the shortlist. Consumers then voice what they think about the shortlist through the Moneyfacts surveys, which accounts for the other 50% of the score.
A big thank you!
It means a lot to us that consumers play such a big role in deciding who wins these awards, so a big thank you to everyone who completed the awards survey.
It’s a very proud addition to our trophy cabinet, and we look forward to adding many more in 2016!
