September 2016 round-up – a milestone month for Zopa

September 2016 was a month of firsts and milestones for Zopa.

The first securitisation of Zopa loans

Towards the end of the month, a portfolio of Zopa loans was securitised (you can read about it in the FT). The portfolio received the highest debut rating of any peer-to-peer-backed issuance, with a AA- rating from Fitch and Aa3 rating from Moody’s on the most senior notes. It’s a real milestone for Zopa and the high rating and success of the transacton is a testament to the maturity of our business. You can read more about it from Jonathan Kramer, who heads up the capital markets team at Zopa, on our blog.

Record disbursals

September saw us disburse over £67 million in loans to our borrowers. This beat our previous record in January this year by over £10 million.

Pariti partnership

In other news, our latest partnership was announced with Pariti, the new UK-based money management app. You can read more about it on our blog, or see more on our partnerships page.
